Shorthand is nowadays used by many people. They learn shorthand for job purposes and also for study purposes. In my opinion, school-going students should also be taught shorthand, which will be helpful for them to take notes, to study and so on...

There are many shorthand systems followed in all over the world. But Greg and Pitman are mostly used. I studied shorthand through Pitman's shorthand. So let me share my experience.

English Shorthand speed can be increased by using many ways. Usage of Shortcuts is one of the ways to increase speed. I use many shortcuts in English Shorthand, but there are many restrictions too.

HOW TO USE SHORTCUTS

The shortcuts that we follow should be fluent and at the same time, the student's accuracy should also be maintained. The student should learn new outlines (shortcuts) while practicing the speed in shorthand. It is better to avoid learning new shortcut outlines after attaining speed as the new shortcuts might cause confusion.
